CO-FOUNDER

RACHEL BIXEL

From an early age, Rachel always knew that she wanted to help empower people and help them feel their best. Rachel completed cosmetology school while also graduating high school and has been working as a hair stylist ever since. By day, Rachel can be found at her salon providing hair therapy to her clients while also being a listening ear to allow them to talk about what they are experiencing in their lives. Rachel understands the struggles of infertility all too well, as she was diagnosed with unexplained infertility while trying to grow her family.

After 4 cycles of medicated IUI which led to the birth of her daughter, Rachel knows first hand how incredibly vulnerable the fertility treatment process can be. Since experiencing it herself, she has become an advocate for infertility support, which led to her collaborating with Rebecca to form idea for The Daffodil Room two years prior to it’s official formation in March 2024. Rachel attributes her ability to brave the storm of infertility to her husband and her faith, as she is an active member in her church and has supported many others through similar experiences in her congregation. Due to her openness in sharing her story, so many have found comfort in her kind heart and listening ear. Rachel is dedicated to serving members of her community and ensuring that not one person finds themselves walking alone in the darkness of infertility.

"Forever enough, always enough, more than enough" - Rachel

Women’s Mental Health Lead & Certified Doula

CRYSTAL DRENNON, MSW, LSW, CD

Crystal received her Bachelors of Science in Health Science in 2018 from Cleveland State University, followed by her Masters in Social Work in 2022. She is skilled in perinatal mental health training through Postpartum International. Crystal is also a trained and certified birth doula (2018), as well as certified in peer lactation and placental encapsulation.

Crystal states that there has never been a time in my life I didn’t find myself working with women. In my last year of my undergraduate degree, I trained as a doula and fell in love with working with women even more and knew this was my path. After undergrad, I applied for an accelerated nursing program and got accepted, but found out I was pregnant. Pregnancy was rough since it was unplanned and looking back I suffered from perinatal depression but didn’t look for help until I was postpartum -where I then learned not many therapists specialized. I questioned myself on how so many women go through this hardship and there are so little therapists who see mamas. I questioned how I had the knowledge, support, and tried my best to prevent but still suffered. It was then I made the decision I’d have to make a change and I applied to graduate school. My last year of graduate school, in Oct 2021 I got a positive pregnancy test and miscarried. It threw me in for a loop and brought me further into my work for women and how much we endure.

“I'm passionate to help women see their potential, sit with the fact that there are two truths at all times. How this is the HARDEST thing we could ever do, whatever the journey is, but also one of the MOST CHERISHED things to have as well”. - Crystal
